Influenced by his late father who was a Canadian Army photographer in Europe during WWII, Phill first picked up a camera over 40 years ago and was soon developing his own B & W film while still in high school. After that he pursed photography for many years in fits and starts as a business career, family priorities and other interests occupied much of his time. However his conversion to digital imagery in 2001 completely re-kindled his love for photography and the artistic expression that it encourages.Capturing the dramatic light of sunsets and sunrises are a particular specialty for Phill, but he also enjoys taking images of trees, flowers, river, lake & ocean scenes, and all forms of wildlife. He is a member of both the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) and the Carolinas Nature Photographers Association (CNPA). Many of his images are currently displayed in private collections in the U.S. and Canada.
